They parked right next to my Jeep downtown. They were getting out of their car as we were walking back to ours.
I smiled a greeting but both of them had their eyes cast down, avoiding us.
I know I look like one of those rednecks who wears a red hat and calls ICE when he sees brown people.
So I try to smile my best very broken smile so they'd know I'm not that guy.
But they wouldn't even look up. They just tried to be invisible.
Breaks my heart is what.
One of those places where, on a few lucky summer, evenings, the sky above you comes to life like nowhere else...

Rode the Dead Swede 100 mile course Saturday across the foothills of the Big Horn mountains around Sheridan Wyoming. I had the good fortune to start with Mark & Ryan who shared beer and bacon from the cooler on the back of their tandem. HEROS.
