I first saw the movie “Until The End of the World” in my mid twenties and have carried it with me ever since. Revisiting it now in my fifties, I understand just how important it was for me to see that film when I did. It is also not lost on me that I am rewatching the director’s cut on my Apple Vision Pro.

I’m sure that I originally saw the truncated version, but now, watching the full 5 hour version, and letting the movie take me on the full journey, I am falling in love with it all over again. The first half of the movie resonates strongly with my past (albeit without the globe hopping antics) and the second half resonates strongly with all that I see around me in the present.

This movie is a strong contender for my second favorite movie of all time. “Toys” being its contender and “The Fountain” occupying the top spot.

One of my all-time favorite restaurants has suddenly closed. It’s like losing a dear friend you were just getting to know. Rest in peace Bearcat. Your unctuous duck liver toast with its black currant jam, pickled onions and thin slices of foie gras will be something that I will always feel lucky to have tasted. The next iteration of my camera grip prototype. I think I’ve solved most of the problems in the simplest way. It all holds together loosely now so I need to work on improving the tolerances so everything locks in place but can still be taken apart to change the battery. #3dprinting #iphonephotography #prototype
