We're planning an epic migration of the jabber.org #XMPP service this weekend, migrating to new software (#Prosody) and a new system. Significant downtime is expected during this period.

Although jabber.org is no longer the de-facto centre of the XMPP network (a good thing!), it was the first public XMPP server and a bunch of people still use it daily.

We now have a dedicated account for updates at @jabberdotorg and a status page at https://status.jabber.org/status/overview

Now that I'm finally playing Zelda:BOTW for the first time (just made it past the second Divine Beast), I can tell that I'll be one of those people who will never shut up about what a brilliant game it is. 😅

Game developers love to talk about how they're "creating worlds" and it often sounds like ridiculous hyperbole. Not in this case.

It's a heavily constrained world, to be sure, with absurd rules, but it really feels like a _place_. Just incredible craftsmanship on every level.
