Another (second) release of siltamesh, my simple bridge between XMPP and the meshtastic network.
Reliability has been improved, and now you can store the received locations of local mesh nodes. The locations can even be displayed online with @umap, a great OSM-based online map.

Welcome to a new major release of the Prosody XMPP server! While the 0.12 branch has served us well for a while now, this release brings a bunch of new features we’ve been busy polishing. If you’re unfamiliar with Prosody, it’s an open-source project that implements XMPP, an open standard protocol for online communication. Prosody is widely used to power everything from small self-hosted messaging servers to worldwide real-time applications such as Jitsi Meet.

Tip for #shell users: if you don't already know about 'Alt+.' then you should! It inserts the last argument of the previous command where you are typing. Press it multiple times to step back through the command history.
Even if you know this, you may not know that if you press it too many times, you can flip the direction (i.e. step forwards instead) by pressing 'Alt+-'.
Finally, if you want e.g. the 2nd argument instead of the last one, press 'Alt+2' before you press 'Alt+.'.
After reading this detailed article about who will gain from the #EU and other governments introducing mandatory "client-side scanning" tech, it all starts to make sense:
This tech will target everyone, won't protect anyone, and is trivial for real criminals to bypass.
We need to give people and children safer spaces online. But #ChatControl does the opposite. Randomly sending personal chats to third parties for "review" is not a step forward for our society.
