With all the new users joining decentralized social media platforms lately, now is a good time to consider also decentralizing the way you communicate.

#XMPP allows you to chat with people securely without being tied down to one individual server or company (unlike #whatsapp or #signal). It acts similar to #mastodon and the #Fediverse
