Sind ja auch #bigtech konzerne in #usa bzw nutzen die cloud dienste wie #aws #google usw...

Oder meidet ihr solche apps/messenger grundsätzlich #boykottusa und nutzt stattdessen zb #deltachat #xmpp oder ähliche #dezentrale messenger?

Schreibt gerne eure meinungen dazu was und warum ihr es nutzt bzw nicht nutzt.

Oh, the TURN / STUN setup of trashserver.net seems to be broken since... Uhm... Maybe the last server move?

Obviously the future is not much used. Otherwise somebody would have complained earlier? 😂

Un #FormulaireDeContact, devenant par amélioration progressive une #PWA. Basiquement une redirection web -> #XMPP.
Avec JS, devient une webapp de chat anonyme vers une seule adresse XMPP
Sans JS, un formulaire de contact + classique (avec réponses en flux #RSS)

J’en suis encore qu’à planifier tout le truc, enfin j’ai initialisé la forge car ça m’a l’air possible comme projet, d’ailleurs je suis surpris que ça n’existe pas déjà.

Dado que #discord es cada día menos usable, me gustaría presentar una alternativa: Queer Spark! Una alternativa inclusiva construida por una comunidad de personas #lgbt, libre de los deseos de corporaciones capitalistas.
Es un servidor de #Jabber / #XMPP, una red de mensajería federada (como fedi!). Puedes usar tu propio cliente, o usar nuestra instancia de #Movim si quieres una interfaz web similar a la que discord ofrece.
Nada de características de pago, apps pesadas que usan electron, shadowbans, etc.

So my brother is setting our mom up on Discord for some reason. I guess because his indie game company heavily uses it. I get the sense she'll be using it to message me directly as well. However, I've never been into Discord and have actively avoided it most of my life. So I'm caving and finally setting up my own chat alternatives and am going to bridge them using Matterbridge. Just doing IRC (Ergo specifically), XMPP (via Prosody), Mumble maybe, and I guess Discord (non self-hosted obviously). I'll bridge these all together and maybe eventually I can get my family to adopt XMPP chat at some point and ditch Discord.

@iuvi this seems like a good way to do it at first glance.

Granted I've not used #sshuttle myself, but I found a decently written #howto for #SSHtunneling.
Also @nixCraft made a good post explaining #SSHtunnels and also some even more condensed writeup to get you started.
- Obviously you need a #Server on the "outside" of the #IronFirewall of #Roskomnadzor's realm, but any #VPS with decent bandwith should work.

I'd still recommend to use @torproject / #TorBrowser through that #SSHtunnel for added #privacy.

OFC for applications that need #UDP and/or don't like #Tor you'd still be able to use them regardless, but for #Messaging like #XMPP+#OMEMO (@monocles / #monoclesChat, @gajim), #IRC & #PGP/MIME (i.e. @delta & @thunderbird) tor just works.
- I wished @tails_live / @tails / #Tails would've support for #SSHtunnels built-in for extra-hard cases when even private #Bridges ain't an option.

Still #Russia fighting against #VPN useage whilst also being reliant on #CyberCrime & #CyberWarfare from russian soil makes it basically impossible to ban #SSH.

After all, this would also prevent their agents from communicating since #Gonets ¹ and Gazprom Space Systems either don't have global coverage or are too slow to be used for any decent communication resembling realtime beyond narrowband communication.

Hi #xmpp #devops #adminsys folks, I’m looking for a way to push #monitoring messages to an XMPP MUC room via a #webhook. I already have an Apprise instance that forwards these messages to an #IRC channel, but unfortunately, #Apprise no longer supports XMPP, and I’d like to avoid using a #bridge.

Any suggestions or tools that could #help? Thanks in advance!
