It’s official: I’ve wrapped up 6 years working with the best team of my career at System Initiative. I’d like to thank Adam Jacob, Mahir Lupinacci, and Alex Ethier for putting their trust in me and being their first employee hire.

Nothing is certain in early stage startups & I’m grateful for the opportunity to apply my craft, science, & engineering on some of the hardest technical challenges.

I’m more of a “past informs and influences the future” kind of person so I’m far more excited with what is next.

I've been developing application and systems level software for well over 20 years, primarily in Rust professionally for just over 10 years and working on open source codebases for most of my career, so if you'd like to know how I work, & how I evolve my practice, I am a very open book.

From building fully hermetic software build and packaging solutions, to implementing consensus protocols for distributed systems, to writing successful developer and operations tooling, I thrive on hard and necessary challenges.

I'm so tired. People, I am not interested in reading *blogs* generated with claude, gemini or chatgpt. No, not even ones proofread by AI. Do it yourself. I do not wish to even accidentally click on "one-shotted" dummy projects. Don't show me your AI-generated analysis of anything. Above all, I do not wish to see images/artwork someone prompt created.

I value real content, with all its good and bad quirks, from actual human beings.

Somebody please normalize auto-tagging of AI generated content across all formats - text, images and code so I can blanket ban them from my personal computer.

This is a plead for help I never thought I'll have to make.

If you use AI-generated code, you currently cannot claim copyright on it in the US. If you fail to disclose/disclaim exactly which parts were not written by a human, you forfeit your copyright claim on *the entire codebase*.

This means copyright notices and even licenses folks are putting on their vibe-coded GitHub repos are unenforceable. The AI-generated code, and possibly the whole project, becomes public domain.

Looks like someone built a tool to check your LinkedIn network for names from the Epstein documents. Soon I expect other tools will follow to work with other social media platforms.
