This turned out to need a minor specialist surgery and 2 nights in the hospital.
Endless gratitude NHS for fixing my hand without bankrupting me.
Still gonna pet cats. Probably not this same cat, though.
The optometrist asks how many hours a day you look at screens now?
When did this become a thing? I was not prepared for the self reflection this question prompted.

Apparently even extremely minor cat bites are infection prone.
I have a weirdly specific fear of hand/finger damage.
The NHS has a reassuringly terrifyingly thorough process for any hand injuries.
