He/him.

I was watching the 1929 film "Why Be Good?" starring Colleen Moore. There are two scenes in it that have dancing but are interspersed with acting and intertitles.

I just wanted to see a full-on 1929 music video. I thought "Well, I'll make one." I cut the party scenes up into 18 pieces and arranged them to make one scene. I found some period music which was frenetic enough, then edited it to fit the images.

Trump is oxymoronic? I thought he was C02 moronic.

How do you usually discover new music these days?

As an arthouse cinema projectionist I learned that Danish and Swedish films end with an insult. I don't think they're calling the whole audience sluts, just that one person in row three.
Another one of the many photos I took of the aurora on Oct 10, 2024. It was the last aurora I've seen. It was so strong that a bright moon didn't interfere with it.

I was trying to take a photo of the stars but this pesky aurora got in the way (Oct 10, 2024).

Another photo I took from my front yard of the Oct. 10, 2024 aurora. It was the best aurora of my life. I've seen about 10 decent ones.

This is delightful fun: how far back in time can you understand English?

In a fictional travel blog, the author writes about their experience in a small town, jumping back 100 years of English each entry.

The first quarter of the 21st century is now over. By 1926 we were solidly in the Jazz Age and had profoundly broken from the previous century. There were great new avant-garde movements in cinema and art.

21st century musical styles seem like a bland rehash of those of the 20th. Where are the great new musical movements to rival the blues or jazz? Has social media and streaming killed innovation?

The best night of 2024. On Oct. 10th the auroral oval was so powerful that it went past us in the North Idaho and headed south for awhile. This view is looking southeast and was taken when people in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and S. California could see it. The white light on the right was from the bright moon which ordinarily would have made an aurora hard to see.
