Great condx on 10m today. The best two way QRP QSO was with Mike, AA9AA. He was running only 600 mW and his RST was 569 with me!

This is my newest toy in my shack: An awesome KX3. I couldn’t resist buying it from a fellow ham. Well it’s very expensive but especially its receiver is hot!

First post on Mastodon. I was first licensed in 1994 in high school. I left the hobby for a while to start a career and family. We have 7 kids and 1 grandson.
Now I’m the trustee at my local club, KB0TLL, and they’re keeping me busy. I’m really into the technology aspect of the hobby. I have a few VHF radios and a bunch (like really, a lot!) of HF rigs, which is where my interest lies.
I love CW contesting, POTA, SOTA hunting and building/maintaining equipment.

I’m on a few trip with my boat in lake Saimaa. The weather is very nice now. I have been on the air with my MTR and a Hustler mobile whip as OH5JJL/M on 20m QRP. Thanks for everyone for nice QSOs so far!

I called CQ this morning on 30m with 5 W QRP but nobody answered to my call. I then checked out the Reverse Beacon Network website and was really surprised to see that my signal had been heard in New Zealand! It can be even via a long path because this time of year ZL is often be heard via long path here in Finland.
