I build https://invirtuate.com, post blogs there and quote them here. On this account, I try to keep to retrogaming and tech.

Have you really took the time to think about why we call it a "word processor"?

Decided to rack another #minipc today for my #homelab . I took a lot of pics so I can get started on that #blog post that I posted in #askfedi awhile back.

I'm looking to get all of these designs open sourced and public sometime in July so that others can use them. I'm likely going to target #gpl as the license but if others have a better idea let me know.

I'm also not sure if I should dump all designs at once, could be overwhelming to newcomers. Thoughts?

#opensource #foss #selfhosted

@fanciful_realities has had over 500k requests in the past 10 days, a majority of which is the past 6 days. Very happy that there have been no issues with my #backend and #privatecloud . 🤜🪵

The day before the traffic burst, I had switched to a fully automated way to manage #nginx and #ssl certificates also...

I have been totally distracted with the incident a couple weeks ago up to and including the recent blog post. I'm now content with the security controls, so I'm going to shift back to open sourcing mountlet.

In this #blog post, I setup an #ssh #honeypot for 7 days. During this time I collected data about which users attackers try to break-in with and their country of origin.

Observations of Login Activity in an SSH Honeypot

I ran an SSH Honeypot to determine which user accounts attackers try to compromise, traffic patterns, and which countries these attackers reside from.

Schizo conspiracy theory, but isn't it a bit convenient that #aur was hax after all the #windows11 , #copilot , and #microsoft hate? Tired of seeing all the paid shills chattering about it.

Guy scanning my site thinks it's #spring . I'll be honest, I'd rather kill myself than to use #java . I guess new rules for the #waf ?

#golang

Love seeing people using the search on @fanciful_realities . It took a lot of work to develop it, and if I'm being honest is still a little buggy.

#Golang #searchengine #BM25 #tfidf

Finally built my ingress controller; no more manual management of #letsencrypt certs or #nginx with #ansible .
