@james it’s pronounced Boy See
This has definitely been an interesting year. We made 5 1100 mile round trips to see my mom before she died (19 months with terminal cancer) and to go to her memorial. My daughter finished preschool and started kindergarten. Our pop-up camper had a roof leak, a corner separate, and the wheels break off in the mountains. We camped once. I transferred to a corporate IT job with much better pay. Next year will be so much better!
In 2012, Colorado* legalized recreational cannabis. Just over a decade later, and nearly half the other states have followed suit, because it’s common sense.

Let’s all follow Colorado’s lead with their most recent common sense decision and keep the insurrectionist off the ballot!

Yes I know the creator of the GIF said it is supposed to be pronounced "JIF". But he's dead, and I don't care if he's rolling in his jrave right now.

Seems like a good time to repost this:

#TerryPratchett #Offense #Humour #GoodOmens

death to all websites that display 50000 different in-page pop-ups just to be annoying as fuck

CORRECTION: Wired have deleted this story because they got it greviously wrong. Corrections rarely have the impact of the original story but this one is categorically wrong.

"Here’s how it works. Say you search for “children’s clothing.” Google converts it, without your knowledge, to a search for “NIKOLAI-brand kidswear,” making a behind-the-scenes substitution of your actual query with a different query that just happens to generate more money for the company, and will generate results you weren’t searching for at all. It’s not possible for you to opt out of the substitution."

I suppose it's predictable but I feel like everything I've used on the Internet has just publicly turned to dirt in the last 18 months.

Thank you Senator #ElizabethWarren, who is demanding an investigation into #SpaceX after Elon #Musk acknowledged he had blocked #Ukraine from extending the private #Starlink satellite network for an attack on Russian warships near the Crimean coast.

“The Congress needs to investigate what’s happened here and whether we have adequate tools to make sure foreign policy is conducted by the government and not by one #billionaire,” the Massachusetts Democrat said Monday at the Capitol.
