Question on Internal Transfer Timeline
Currently trying to transfer DAF -> DAF and the process has been super slow. Was supposed to leave over a year ago but bc of hiring freeze, doge, etc. it couldn’t happen. This January, they reached out and said they were able to hire now so we started the process over again in Jan/Feb.Since then, the process has been going at a snail’s pace. I negotiated for a relocation incentive and signed the offer letter / incentive on the tentative / intent to hire. Literally almost a month later I had to re-sign because they put the wrong percentage in the relocation incentive (same dollar amount). Another month later and I had to sign the offer letter again because they had to include a statement that said “salary determined by HR” or something. Another 3 weeks / month passes and they needed me to send my most recent performance review and address to justify the relocation incentive, this was 2-3 weeks ago and I haven’t heard anything since (going to reach out this week for an update). Is this timeline normal for an internal transfer? It seems like it was faster for me to get hired on initially several years ago than it is to transfer now.
