Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem called Los Angeles a “city of criminals” and not a city of immigrants. But like its name, Los Angeles is a city of angels. We protect and look out for one another, especially the most vulnerable. We stand together and spread our community wings wide to repel evil. Noem doesn’t know the city I have called home since childhood. We will endure, and we will be here long after Trump and his goons are gone.

- Summary: The Online Books Page allows users to browse online books by subject through two methods: by subject term or by call number. Users can browse an alphabetical index of subject terms or explore virtual shelves organized by Library of Congress call numbers. The call numbers are categorized into topical areas, such as General Works, Philosophy, and Science. Most nonfiction online book listings have subject term indexing. The page also provides an overview of the Library of Congress categories and links to more detailed classification outlines. Some books lack call numbers or subject headings, particularly rare or obscure ones.
