I worked on a game over the weekend, The Last Bite! You manage a street food stand in post-climate-apocalyptic Vienna. Cook and serve meals to customers, and try to choose ingredients with the lowest carbon footprint to instantly affect global temperatures. The cooler you make it the longer you have time to scavenge for new ingredients.

It's a bit buggy and pretty unbalanced but maybe you want to give it a try anyway :) My contribution was the 3D scavenging mode.

Everything else is getting enshittified. Mozilla changes their TOS to sell your data. Bluesky censors political content (then backs off after outcry) and partners with weird blockchain and AI stuff. Everyday it is some new rubbish.

And we just keep chugging along. Nowhere do you get a better survey of what's going on or a better forum to engage with lively intelligent folks about it. No algorithmic nonsense. Just people. You're all great.

Another thing I got to do at #gddg24 was meet @accidentlyAnton again and play his new game Blockfusion. Usually I'm not interested in mobile games because all the good ones have one time payments upfront, which I'm happy to give but I'm one of those people who refuse to sign up for Google so I can't access them. But did you know you can buy it on itch and get the apk that way?! Wish more games did this (though I realize I represent a tiny niche)
