I build apps, run with Vallhunds, play with Jeeps and chill with my partner. Life is good.

I didn't plan on this, but it turns out that releasing my new book on running your own email server was SUPER TIMELY. #sysadmin

I was testing a mail server today by telnetting to it, and a young employee was shocked that you could do that. It made me feel like I was 60+ years old!
@nixCraft voted 1, but realistically 1 & 3 as I use both mobile app and desktop web frequently.
NordVPN just popped up an honest to fucking goodness advertisement in my Windows 10 notifications so this is me using my social reach to say I really dislike NordVPN, they've been a big constant hassle from day one and I'm canceling my subscription the MOMENT circumstances no longer require me to use this specific provider

The secret ingredient of the Fediverse is the ActivityPub protocol and how it allows networks to talk to each other. See the magic in action!

Just a reminder that there are options out there for most platforms. I’ll be exploring music options now. Even after being on autopilot with Spotify for a while. I left Twitter when I wasn’t happy and honestly I don’t miss that platform in particular either.
I was already leery of the direction Spotify as a company has been going. First the massive layoff. Then the recent comments regarding a lack of appreciation for artists time. Then my account was removed from the family plan due to not responding to an address verivicarion for a week. And accounts removed that way are blocked from joining any family plan for 1 year!? It took me 10 minutes to leave the platform and find/sign up for Tidal.
I found this post interesting. "Microfeatures I Love in Blogs and Personal Websites" at https://danilafe.com/blog/blog_microfeatures/

In this post, I talk about pleasant but seemingly minor features in personal sites
