This was a weird POTA activation. Only 8 QSOS in about an hour and a half. I could barely work any US stations, but worked two UK stations. One answering my CQ, one who I called. (My tuner ran out of battery so I couldn't wander off 20m to see how other bands were.)
@M0TTQ saved my activation with a three-fer, but I was clearly way down in the noise. Thanks for sticking with me to finally copy my call! I hope it helped that I dialed it back to 13WPM. 🤞
I've finally put enough time and polish on my macOS Parks on the Air app Trailwave to publicly announce it. If you're a macOS Tahoe user and are a POTA hunter check it out:
It borrows a lot from its Linux cousin Artemis, but it's an entirely new Swift/SwiftUI codebase (with a dash of Objective-C for hamlib integration) but adds WSJT-X integration, live signal reports from PSK Reporter and a whole lot more. Check it out!
Some more Impressions of this beautiful activation with stellar weather.
I had a nice Trip to Bleckede yesterday. There is a POTA 4fer and that is why I went. But then I realized that it is a gorgious little town that is well woth a visit. It's a wonderful outing from Hamburg for a sunny day. You should consider it.
Park activation went well even tough there was QRM from a pasture fence nearby.
44 contacts in CW and SSB. It was quite windy which was nice because of the high temperatures of 26°C.
