I am well aware that there is no bad weather with the appropriate gear. Nevertheless I prefer working portable when I am not cold, wet and miserable.

Can't wait to test my new portable antenna mast setup. All below 900 grams and around 45 x 7 cm packed. Gives 5 to 6 mtrs of usable height, depending on the weight of the antenna used.

Camped out for a couple of days at US-10658, activated once each day. I wanted to join a 80m SSB net but forgot the power to my FT891's LDG ATU. People in the area warned us of a Mountain Lion seen in the area. We used Tiki Torches and played a radio all night. #CW #QRP #Camping #Tenting #AmateurRadio #FieldRadio
