Happy Pi Day! Today, I, an old professor, learned that 22 divided by 7 is not the most accurate portrayal of the magical quantity of pi. Somehow I had always thought this. Sometimes, when coding, if I didn't know the syntax of using a language's built in pi function, I just used what I thought was the exact value - 22/7. That fraction yields an rational number because it is a repeating decimal. It is a decent approximation, but it is not accurate past two decimals.

Where did I learn this? I claimed it to my 10 year old, and he got his calculator out and proved me wrong! 🤣

This fisherman in #Wales has a Twitch stream and I've been loving watching him fish for prawns off the West Welsh coast.
