Yeahhhhh... two extremely cold nights killed ALL of my emerging flowers, all of the flower buds on the lilacs, and I'll have to wait to see what damage it did to the rest of my bulbs and fruiting plants and berries.

NOT HAPPY. 😡😡😡

Also it's going to be too damn cold really to enjoy parade coming through the neighborhood from downtown today (and day-drinking whisky just isn't appealing at ALL).

I had planned to go tooling around on my trike, which I'll probably still do, but I will be bundled the heck up and nobody will really get to see my kick ass T-shirt unless I go inside the bar to hang out with my friend who will be working and take my coat off (unlikely).

Oh well.

I'm incredibly nervous about the #weather tonight, so I might be posting a lot about it. (Storm #PTSD is a bear of a thing).

Apologies for spamming your timeline if I do decide to report on what's happening.

I have homework to do, but I can't seem to focus on anything else! My #anxiety is through the damn roof right now.

Hopefully nothing else will be in the next 24 hours (through the roof, I mean).

Here's a photo of a tree through my roof in October of 2017. It was full of bees, no less.

I thought you all might enjoy seeing Molly in her trailer.

She doesn't necessarily enjoy it, but it really is working well for us.

I'll run her brother for about half a mile first and then let her out to walk the rest of the way. I'm increasing his distance every time we go out as well, so we are all getting back up to conditioned.

Molly is up to .8 of a mile of walking now and doing great!

She's a month out from her surgery. We have our follow up x-ray in one month at which point I'm assuming she'll be released for full activity again.

It's hard because she really wants to run, but she's not allowed to run just yet.

It is March 10th and it is over 90°F in my #chicken coop at 4:30 in the afternoon.

This ain't right. #climatechange

I hadn't had a #kitten update in about a week.

The little gray one and the little black one are looking a little bit stripey, and the white one has dark fur on its ears and paws.

#Doggo report:

She's home with me for the rest of the day while her owner is at work; I'll take her home tonight because her owner has the next two days off.

Over the next two weeks, when I have dog care days, I will feed her breakfast at her home and then bring her to my house to rest. She can't be at home alone unsupervised right now.

It is a miracle that she is alive! It's a miracle that we got the doctor that we did last night, who just happened to be well-versed in this particular surgery.

She's absolutely night and day, energy-wise, from 24 hours ago. Even logy from the anesthetic and all the trauma she's been through, she's completely herself again.

I put Molly's blowup collar on her which is waaaay too big, but I've got a smaller one on order. Molly was never interested in licking her incision, but Roxie is already very dedicated to wanting to do that, so yeah. We've got the blue collar of shame on now.

It's better than the cone, though!

Thanks everybody for all your well wishes for her! I've already put a thank you note in the mail to the doctor who saved her life.

Update: she's out of surgery and she did really well.

Thanks everybody for the well wishes!

She'll stay there overnight, and they're going call me tomorrow morning to go pick her up (because her mom still has to go in to work in the other big city west of here).

I'm picking up a support human for myself in the morning who will travel with me and help me get her situated in the car. And then I'm not sure what the rest of tomorrow looks like, but luckily, all that is on my schedule is caring for animals, mine and this one.

Today was waaaaay more eventful than I even expected, and complete disruptions were the rule of the day.

I ended up having to drive one of the dogs that I care for to an emergency vet an hour away in KC this evening for an emergency surgery!!!

The owner had gotten her in to see the regular vet this afternoon because she had been off, bloated, and not acting herself, and it turns out she's absurdly, deathly ill -- and might not even make it through surgery. 😩

If you do any praying or good vibes or anything like that, we can sure use it. 🤞
