@Jernik I'm using my crippling addiction to social media.

Also I use the in browser version of @sengi_app as my mastodon desktop app of choice so I can have multiple fediverse accounts up.

@elliottucker our purpose on earth is to choose the third snail
So far, I don’t like it here. Can’t find my community. Can’t find my purpose. So, a little about me: In 2015, while advocating for #suicideprevention online, I lost a loved one to suicide. From that second on, I worked to build a platform & name for myself supporting advocates online. Still want to do that no matter where #Twitter lands, so I’m looking to connect with people in: #SocialWork #SocialJustice #MentalHealth #SuicidePrevention #DomesticViolence #Advocacy #Psychology (#Writing #Poetry)
I get that it's "basically a Linux laptop" but somehow the novelty of doing computer things with my #SteamDeck never gets old. Today I'm tuning the PID of my #ender3 after changing the hotend to a Revo CR with it.

For those #newcomers to mastodon who also happen to be on #Android, the official mastodon app is not good.
It's missing a lot of base features from the browser version. My personal recommendation is #tuskyapp.

Details on the #supercon card reader hack are updated with all the details, source, and lots of photos! https://hackaday.io/project/188133-supercon-2022-badge-card-reader/details

The Card Reader consists of two arrays of thirteen red LEDs on 0.3" (7.6 mm) centers, harvested from a donor badge, which face each other across a minimal gap set by several layers of cardboard shims and guides. One set of LEDs serve as a single receiver; they are wired in parallel, reverse-biased, and fed into a transimpedance amplifier with 1E6 gain. This useful if somewhat finicky technique can be traced back to Forrest Mims III's various experiments and published circuit diagrams on the subject. The other set of LEDs are Charlieplexed and scanned sequentially, illuminating one bit at a time in rapid succession. All of the LEDs are managed by a Pixelblaze Sensor Expansion Board, chosen for its convenience (as

I wanted to use https://crossposter.masto.donte.com.br/ to crosspost my toots/tweets, but apparently it hard blocks mastodon.cloud, and I haven't been able to get any of the local crossposters to work. I have a fosstodon account, I might try and migrate this account over.

I've been wanting to venture into the open source FPGA world, but hadn't gotten a board to use. And then suddenly post #supercon I have 3 ice40up5k based dev boards on my desk. Two upduinos, inspired from Xark's Xosera gpu design for the m68k, and a FOMU as a perk from the tinytapeout workshop.
Due to work and a general malaise I had been feeling burnt out on all of my projects. But now after getting back from @hackaday #Supercon my mind is crackling with things I want to do, and now I've got a deadline cause I want to have something in hand to share with people at next con.
Gotta get those projects started and that resume updated cause it's time to work somewhere I'm genuinely excited for the product.
End of hackaday #supercon 2022.
Badge hacking awards and closing ceremony.
I've had so much fun, met so many amazing people and learned so much.
You can't grow in a vacuum. You have to meet others and find out what they're excited about. I'm already planning for next year.
Con's over, yet I still spent the rest of the evening programming my badge after drinks at the ale house.
