Looks like #Ghost has released version 6.0 earlier today, now with #ActivityPub support.
I've been using Ghost in a container for my blog for several years now, so will definitely be looking to upgrade sometime soon.
Nice optimisation now available for anyone using my macOS binary packages from https://pkgsrc.smartos.org
Packages that require fortran support now only depend on the smaller gcc-libs package (7MB) rather than the full gcc package (300MB).
Once you've "pkgin upgrade"ed, remember to "pkgin autoremove" to clean up the now-unused gcc package.
This brings it in line with the SmartOS package sets.
Continuing to push back against bloat one step at a time. Next up, ghc.
There are a couple of new #SSH exploits out there, so get to patching!
This is bad timing as just yesterday i moved the DNS for the domain i use for my infrastructure to a provider supporting DNSSEC, added the SSHFP records for my servers and enabled VerifyHostKeyDNS on my clients.
Or maybe it's good timing since the bug has apparently existed for a decade and will be patched within a few days of me enabling the feature. I'm off to buy a lottery ticket! 😁

I wrote a blog post. This time it’s about setting up #NixOS with #ZFS on a tiny Lenovo M910q PC to be used as a #Incus #container and #vm host.
h/t to @simon for posting about the great prices these machines were going for a few weeks ago.

#Easter chocolate is already hitting the shops.
On one hand i think this is ridiculously early; on the other i really do enjoy a good Cadbury Creme Egg.
I wrote a blog post on setting up #Prosody #XMPP server on #Debian 12, Bookworm.
Most people should probably just stick with #Snikket, but for those who would prefer to go the manual setup route hopefully this will be of interest or help.
