I recently added a display to #Conversations_im showing the number of stanzas (XMPP packets) sent/received in the current session. What are your counts and how long has your session been active? (Account Details -> 'Server info' in the overflow menu.)
@julian @fediversereport Indeed, the Fediverse desperately needs an URI scheme (for example web+ap, but something else might work too).
In XMPP you can implement a provider independent share with feature with xmpp:?message;body=hi
I've trying to make web+ap: happen for a while and #Conversations_im for example auto links URIs like that (my small contribution as someone who is not really in the Fediverse community)
Tive um problema com a criptografia #OMEMO no #XMPP. A mensagem recebida aparece corretamente no #Conversations_im, mas no Dino fica:

E no #Gajim fica:
> Esta mensagem foi criptografada com OMEMO, mas não para o seu dispositivo.
Alguém sabe por que isso acontece?
É minha primeira conversa criptografada, sem ser comigo mesmo.

Historically, events like Meta announcing ads in WhatsApp haven’t significantly impacted #Conversations_im download numbers. This time feels different. February saw double the installs of a typical month. It seems the sentiment against Big Tech is finally translating into action.
Als Vorbereitung fuer den morgigen DiDay (absichtlich ohne Hashtag) habe ich die Conversations Seite auf meiner Seite endlich begonnen.
Ich biete seit Jahren fuer die ganze Familie selfhosted Zeug an: NextCloud (frueher ownCloud), Jabber, Email, Webseiten-Hosting, wasmanhaltsomacht.
Was man aber auch merkt: Ich bin kein grosser Dokumentierer. Aber ich geb mein Bestes. Ist noch nicht fertig, aber hat Grundlagen.
