#Apple’s #UK age verification in #iOS 26.4 seems to be as buggy as the rest of #Tahoe / iOS 26 sadly is.

Verified successfully two days ago. This evening, the setting reset, and I had to verify a second time - and this time, I had to use a different verification method.

Is this a thing now?

Guess what? Updated to #MacOS #Tahoe this morning and now my RME Fireface 800 can go to the trash, because #Apple silently dropped #Firewire support 😒 . That really is planned obsolescence at its best, and I would have expected at least a warning before the upgrade, or a long term support option for latest XCode/iOS SDKs on legacy OS versions.

Another stupid MacOS 26 Tahoe change making my life harder. In Tahoe, several USB tools I use are broken. They call `system_profiler SPUSBDataType` internally to get USB info. In Tahoe that's gone, replaced by "SPUSBHostDataType", which returns not enough info.
If anyone has any tips on a built-in equivalent, let me know!

Curious if others have experienced an issues with updating a MacBook to the latest version of Tahoe 26.4 - specifically if the install process stalls out when 'preparing' and it says 5 minutes remaining and then nothing happens. I'm on a new MacBook Neo. I've never had an issue when updating before. Apple community is no help. I can skip the update for now, but eventually it will be required to get the security updates. Thanks.

Ok, #enshittify as much as you want your #UI, #AppleMusic on #Tahoe, but could you still _please_ recognize the connected sound device without requiring zillion on/off clicks on sound icon sub-settings, and sometimes app restarts?

You do have to wonder, given how horrible and hated #tahoe and #liquidglass is, whether this new #darksword security threat to older #ios versions has been engineered by #Apple to force people to upgrade their #iphone to #ios26.
