#AskingAutistics - how many of you are already here?

I'm tentatively testing the waters, like so many people, fearing what the future holds over on the bird app. I'd found such a ruddy beautiful community of #ActuallyAutistic peeps there and feel like I've started at a new school and am desperately looking around for familiar (friendly) faces!

Set up here in case the bird app is no longer viable. For those that followed me over there, glad to see you here! For those who are new to following me-I'm nonbinary transmasc(he/him and they/them). I'm 42, a cat Dad, poet, disabled(fibromyalgia, cPTSD), and eclectic Wiccan probably sums me up pretty well at this point in regards to that side of things, but like much of my life, I tend to expand and evolve as I learn more about myself, so I consider that a "working title"😉Also self DX Autistic as of a year ago, which has been a revelation and is a journey all its own😂

I am pro science, and definitely pro mask, so if you're not, this isn't the space for you😁

I'm also Welsh, but have lived in Australia for many years. I've recently started trying to learn Welsh again via duolingo, as, while I was fluent before I emigrated as a child to Australia, I found I'd lost much of it over the years.

So...here's to the journey!

Mastodon habits I'm trying to lock in, rather than revert to my Twitter habits:

1) use CWs liberally
2) when threading, set first post to "public" and the rest to "not listed"
3) don't forget the description text when posting images (had to work on that in Twitter too)
4) throw in hashtags like it was Tumblr or Instagram when you want to reach beyond your followers
5) pin and visit hashtags to find more people
6) boost a lot

Hi all! I'm new here. I'm Rosie. Married mum of 3. Dutch #designer/#artist. I love to paint, draw, craft, sew, sculpt, design, code, plan, 3D print. I also love games such as #TheSims and #AnimalCrossing. And I sometimes stream on #Twitch. I'm a bit of a #Whovian. I'm on the spectrum (ASD) and I have lipoedema in my legs and arms.
