I've had #Mozilla #Orbit installed for 10 minutes, and already I'm really liking it. I brought up a long article about zoning board business in my town. Normally tl;dr. It gave me a perfect summary of the article. When I asked for a specific detail on one item, it gave it to me.

I think I am so going to like having this extension!

My thoughts on the outcry over Mozilla's Privacy Preserving Attribution experiment in #Firefox 128.0.

PPA is a major step forward towards eliminating invasive tracking from AdTech companies.

Misconceptions about Firefox's Privacy Preserving Ad Measurement

Mozilla's Privacy Preserving Attribution is an important step forward towards eliminating invasive tracking by AdTech companies. Unfortunately, it is being loudly contested by individuals that prefer to spread fear instead of learning about it.

r/firefox is running an #ama with Firefox bigwigs today.

I helped get it scheduled, and I'll be "guest moderating" the discussion (I've largely stopped browsing and contributing to #reddit since they embraced #llm technology).

It's going live at Thursday June 13, 17:00 - 19:00 UTC (a little over three hours from this post).

Join us if you are a #Firefox user, are interested in @[email protected] and want to get your question viewed by people on the Firefox Leadership team!

“Consumers are hungry for a new way of social networking, where trust and safety are paramount and power isn’t centralized with a Big Tech CEO in charge." We couldn't agree more. Thanks @Sarahp for including Mammoth in this piece! https://techcrunch.com/2023/11/03/why-mozilla-is-betting-on-a-decentralized-social-networking-future/

Looking through some old files and found this scan of Stephen Desroches original sketches for the Firefox logo back in 2003. Not sure I've ever looked at this properly, but it has some cute ideas. I like the adorable Mozilla mascot wrapped around the globe and a seriously pissed off Red Panda. There also seems to be some jokes in binary on the left…

I find myself using the #ios Measure app more and more lately. So much easier than hunting down my tape measure, and it’s accurate enough for most of my needs. Great utility.

How much time until we get a button to launch it directly from Control Center alongside flashlight, calculator, voice memo, etc?

My Rancilio Silvia keeps tripping the breaker. Do I dive in and try to fix the problem myself? Not sure if I want to dig into this rat’s nest. #coffee #espresso

Well, it happened. We knew it was coming. A prick pulled the plug. And what bothers me most about it is how Space Karen did it. My mom passed away just before Christmas. Her decline was something everyone in the family saw coming and we prepared for her demise. It still hurts like hell, but […]
