Der Ausbau der #Stromnetze geht nicht schnell genug voran. Es wird immer schwieriger, einen Netzanschluss zu bekommen, für Wärmepumpen und Wallboxen, Ladestationen und für den Wärmebedarf der Industrie. Die Probleme bekommen wir nur durch einen Mix aus Ordnungsrecht (Behörden gegenüber Netzbetreibern) und Preisanreizen (für den Netzanschluss und die Nutzung) in den Griff. Treat the cause, not the symptom: Preparing for megawatt truck charging uptake in Europe

Electrifying freight across Europe is key to bringing down the region’s transport emissions and helping the EU achieve its climate targets. Building fast, high-capacity truck charging—known as megawatt charging—along highways is essential to electrifying long-haul freight and critical to reducing the sector’s growing emissions, say the Regulatory Assistance Project’s Julia Hildermeier and Andreas Jahn

New study! 📣 Megawatt #charging for #etrucks is an opportunity to get #EU #power #grids ready for the #energytransition ! @andreasjahn and I analyzed the cost of megawatt charging in 4 high-freight-traffic border regions in Europe. Result: charging #costs will vary considerably between Member States. Main reason is unsuitable pricing of #electricity #network for “peaky” truck charging in a maturing market !
