🍁 Encouraging anyone who hasn't voted today in the Canadian election to pop out and cast their ballot -- you still have time! 🍁
If you've never voted before, that's ok! As a former poll worker, I promise you, the nerds who work the elections are delighted at a chance to help a first-timer. You need ID, but it doesn't have to be a driver's licence. If you don't have a driver's licence, you just need to provide TWO ALTERNATE PIECES OF ID, one of which includes YOUR CURRENT ADDRESS. This can be a mix-and-match of any of the following:
🔸 a student ID card
🔸 any correspondence issued by your college/university
🔸 a stub from a government cheque
🔸 your phone or power bill
🔸 a hospital card
🔸 your birth certificate
🔸 a prescription label
🔸 a library card
🔸 your debit/credit card
🔸 a bank statement
You can bring e-statements and e-voices on your phone. I'm including a screenshot of the full list, but needless to say, you have a right to vote, and you have more options than you think.
