I wrote about Quinn, the Canadian footballer who is the 1st openly trans & non-binary player in World Cup history, & how their visibility & success empowers non-binary people like my wife @Jaylanns

Do you ever just want to ask your boss: do u like me y/n

I am, in the grand scheme of things, financially well off. I never really feel it—my life is dominated by a constant sense of precarity, that I’m constantly skating on thin ice, that one mistake or one emergency can bring it all crashing down. But I have very much benefited, in purely material terms, from the inequalities of late stage capitalism.

I didn’t become a communist and an anarchist because I am resentful towards the status quo. I did it because of how horrific capitalism is, how destructive it is to the people who weren’t as arbitrarily lucky as I have been. Critics of anticapitalism are quick to dismiss us as sort losers, as resentful outsiders. But I’m not resentful. I’m fucking furious.

The Internet is powered by cats. Doing my part.

More wholesome content because we will all make a kinder world together.
Let’s normalize men and non-binary people who used to identify as guys being in the kitchen too - and families accepting us for us.
She said it was okay to post the pic with her.💖

#OTD in #Tech #History (2002): Twenty years ago, Napster was purchased by Roxio (stem to stern). If you weren’t swept up in the P2P MP3 craze, then you also probably never knew the beauty of Winamp (which really whipped the llama’s ass). #retro #nostalgia #music
She really can make things difficult sometimes. It can be quite dangerous and painful to try to move her, so I have to just wait….

An excellent account of the Nicola River flood in #BritishColumbia #Canada last year. A long, well written piece about #Nature #Climate change & atmospheric rivers, dramatic photos, #Indigenous insight. Worth your time if you're looking for something thought provoking. https://hakai.org/the-demon-river/
The Demon River | Hakai Institute

An extraordinary flood on British Columbia's Nicola River laid waste to homes and lives—and the idea that we can control nature.
