This is a #throw-back post to about a month ago, when 90 #reproducibility enthusiasts from across domains and #academic workprofiles met to discuss what shapes and forms a #researchCulture where working reproducibly becomes the norm.

You can read our blogpost about the event on our website: https://reproducibilitynetwork.nl/2026/02/26/nlrn-symposium-2026-culture-change-as-a-multi-actor-challenge/

From 20-22 July, the 4th #ACM #Conference on Reproducibility and Replicability will take place in #Delft.
The conference welcomes contributions on methods, tools, case studies, and community efforts around #reproducibility and #replicability in #computational research.

Deadlines: 10 March (abstracts)/17 March (papers)

Lots of laughter, old friends, new faces: our annual symposium brought about 90 people from different career stages, disciplines and roles in the #academic system together. We discussed the differences between #quality assurance and policing #research practices, learned about galaxy and #nanopublications, and caught up with #reproducibility related projects.

To everyone who participated, contributed and joined us: Thank you for making this a lively and energetic event!

We are happy to announce our afternoon keynote speaker: @LudoWaltman from CWTS, Leiden

Ludo will be talking about research assessment and how current reforms can strengthen research reproducibility.
His talk will be followed by our closing plenary discussion where we will reflect on the day and try to answer the question: "Who will drive the culture change?"

You can still sign-up for our symposium on 19th January in Leiden:
https://reproducibilitynetwork.nl/event/annual-symposium-2026/

Ulrich Dirnagl from BIH Quest is our first keynote speaker of the day. He will talk about #interventions to change behavior and adopt tools at Charite Berlin. Specifically, he will discuss changes in promotion and assessment guidelines and the introduction of #electronicLabnoteBooks at a large scale.

Ana Martinovici, a OSC-NL board member and Sonja Meeuwsen, the head of the #OpenScience program at LUMC will respond to this talk.

Registration is still open: https://reproducibilitynetwork.nl/event/annual-symposium-2026/

#Workshop Announcement:
#Galaxy is an online platform for #reproducible #workflows. Learn how to create your own workflow and see if this is a tool that you can use for your own work.

This workshop is an entrance level, hands-on workshop. Bring your own laptop if you would like to type and click along or follow the demo on the screen.
The workshop is organize by Kees den Heijer and Mirela Minkova from SURF.

Workshop Announcement: Acyclic Diagrams and #Reproducibility?
In this workshop, @matherion will introduce some behavior change theory that can help you design interventions and understand how behavior change happens. #CultureChange is behavior change - let's find out how this change works and what we can learn from health care #research.

In this episode of the Toekomstmakers podcast (English spoken), Sarah de Rijcke, Mayukha Bathini (PNN) and Max van Duijn talk about #openScience, non-traditional #research outputs, and which #dilemmas junior researchers and their supervisors have to navigate.

Sarah will be opening our annual symposium on 19th January, there are still a few spots left: https://reproducibilitynetwork.nl/abstracts-2026/

Open peer review has the potential to enable new types of interactions between authors and reviewers. It increases the transparency and accountability of the post-submission process.
What kind of research culture is needed to engange in open peer review?
