@0xabad1dea Perhaps the regular human mind just isn’t capable of perceiving the pure size of fluffball that is Odin.
I’d probably do the same, honestly.
@mdione oh there’s quite a big difference. Standing normally, he’s not particularly high, because his legs aren’t that long compared to his nose-to-tail length. But I can touch his head while we’re walking next to each other without bending down.
Sitting upright, his head is above my waist.
Standing like people, his paws are on my shoulders and his nose is up by my forehead. (I’m 5’9” / 175cm)
@0xabad1dea
Well, I guess it's just difficult to comprehend how something so cute and fluffy can be that big!
(I, too, was secretly hoping for a chance encounter with Odin when we were in Amsterdam this April - extremely unlikely as it was though, given we only had two ours in the overtourism zone near the central station.)

@wylan
I saw a giant black dog at Keukenhoff this spring and thought the same.
@woe2you @0xabad1dea meh, there's room
(not cause it's empty, cause it's so large)
@0xabad1dea I once had the thought that of the mastodon folk I would recognise IRL it would be Odin.
Strange how reality is stranger than imagination and it has actually happened!
Every time I am in The Netherlands I am on Odin watch. So far no luck, but one day I will be That Guy.
