i swear there are games with names like "Splongo Pliko" that contain the most heartfelt story ever told through the medium of videogames with incredible gameplay that all AAA companies have been trying to achieve for decades but never could, and it was all made by a single person between break times
@joshbuddy @pluralistic I recently received an error report through slack; it was in the form of a photo
of a phone
which displayed a photo (presumably done by that phone)
of a PC monitor
where the error dialog was actually displayed

@ansuz I use GPUs to do science, but I can't get myself to reject that proposal, given —sadly— how the GPU market has been phagocytated by grifters, cryptogrifters first and llmgrifters now.

Still, for myself, I think I'll start calling mine Geophysics Processing Units since that's what I use them for 8-)

Vorrei 2500 euro per andare in un altro emisfero durante le feste e tornare dopo la befana. Un posto dove non conosco nessuno e non si parli spagnolo, italiano o inglese.
Voi le feste come ve le vivete:
Bellissimeeee 😍
Che noia!

@brunogirin Thank you! I'm gonna test it and see what happens
@JenJen background-image should do the trick: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/Reference/Properties/background-image
The hardest part will probably be to work out where to store the file and get the URL right.
background-image - CSS | MDN

The background-image CSS property sets one or more background images on an element.

MDN Web Docs

So... Theoretically.. Could I use this image as a background image for my livestream when it's offline? By the magic of custom CSS?

Right now when you go to https://live.jenniegyllblad.com it's just my offline message and nothing else.

New blogpost: "A proposed legislative amendment to attempt to ban under 16s in the UK from common messaging services, sharing family photos, using Wikipedia, and doing much else online, by imposing age assurance on everyone"

I'd have my head in my hands, if that didn't make typing rather tricky.

Read and despair (and don't forget to like and subscribe), fellow Internet people.

Earlier this week, I wrote about a proposed legislative amendment to attempt to compel VPN services providers to prevent anyone under 18 in the UK from using their VPNs.

New blogpost: "A proposed legislative amendment to attempt to compel VPN services providers to prevent anyone under 18 in the UK from using their VPNs"

> This new clause would require the Secretary of State to take action to promote and protect children’s wellbeing, and to further support child protective measures in the Online Safety Act, by prohibiting the provision to children in the United Kingdom of VPN services which can facilitate evasion of OSA age-gating processes.

Here we go... buckle up!
