Trump admits the war crime of destroying civilian bridges in Iran, and now says he will order the destruction of electric power plants next — another war crime.
Does Congress really want these war crimes committed in the name of The United States?

I know that the UFA didn’t ratify the Rome Statute but , if they want to be trust , the next administration must send these guys ( with a s) to The Hague .
The International Criminal Court (ICC) investigates and, where warranted, tries individuals charged with the gravest crimes of concern to the international community: genocide, war crimes, crimes against humanity and the crime of aggression.//La Cour pénale internationale (CPI) mène des enquêtes et, le cas échéant, juge les personnes accusées des crimes les plus graves qui touchent l’ensemble de la communauté internationale : génocide, crimes de guerre, crimes contre l’humanité et crime d’agression.
@Mimsybean @randahl Let me try to explain. American elections are largely a PR exercise. And they involve voter suppression to skew which demographics turn up to vote. What politicians want is a low turnout. If they can get that, and also find a minority group (say, white nationalists) to turn out, they can sway the results.
Once in power, the SCOTUS declared Trump immune to any criminal consequences. Congress, already weak from in-fighting, abdicated their duty.
(Continued on next post.)
@Mimsybean @randahl The path to here is much longer than most people think, in my opinion, for what that's worth. Start with George H. W. Bush, and the invention of the "neocon". They explicitly talked about the US being an imperial power with the downfall of the USSR.
In the 70's, the Church Committee put strong safeguards in place. Then the USAPATRIOT Act (2001), with one signature, removed all of them. George W. Bush built the start of a police state, with zero resistance. Min. is the result
@Mimsybean @randahl Final thought: I feel sorry for the people who voted for Trump. Some day, they are going to have to face the ruined country which resulted, and realize that *they* are responsible. Responsible for all the death and destruction on the world, and all the death and destruction of their own neighbors.
I don't know how they will live with themselves.
@agreeable_landfall @Mimsybean @randahl
do not worry.
they won't realise they are responsible.
never.
@Mimsybean @randahl I agree, to an extent. Those whose egos are tightly tied to Trumpism will be unable to change. But most of them are good neighbors who just believed that his plan would make things better. Those people I have empathy for.
I think it's better not to demonize the opposition. That's the same mistake the other side are making. Things are never either/or. If you don't see the world clearly, you'll end up with a solution that doesn't work. IMHO.
Trump is a child rapist. Hate farmer. War monger. Fool.
You should know the answer to that by now.
Nothing is stopping any member of Congress from just flatly threatening any military officer accepting orders to commit such plain war crimes will be prosecuted for that crime by the next administration.
The military believe themselves completely immune to consequences, after the torture report - understandably.
So they will ignore all the Geneva Conventions and Laws of War until their fear of the Law is established.
USA no longer needs Iran to loose the war.
Trump is so good at acting out The Great Satan.

Luckily the theocrats in Iran won't have expected this at all.

Let's toss a Trump tower down... for starters...
@randahl just a small reminder that the US armed forces will not participate in any movie or tv production that depicts US forces comitting war crimes.
This is why the Irish, and not the US, military was used in Saving Private Ryan.
i am sure they do, just like #israel ‘s #genocide and #warcrimes
