What to do when law enforcement demands ballots? Election officials are in the dark

"This is a wake-up call, I think, for election officials and judges to make sure that they’re very well educated about the protections we have in law."

Oh cool - because I turned off "connected experiences" in OneNote forever ago, it's decided today that my main notebook is "broken" in some way, and it is now in read-only mode and I must copy and paste things into a new notebook.

This is for a file that has only ever lived on this computer.

I turned "connected experiences" - an option under account privacy - back on, and then off again, and I can edit my notebook again.

What in the absolute ever-living ocean-going fuck was that, #Microsoft?

Two shipments from #Britain of #military components bound for #Israel have been seized in #Belgium, which has banned aircaft carrying military equipment for Israel from stopping in the country or using its airspace.

Last month, the British news website Declassified, Belgian NGO Vredesactie, Irish news website The Ditch, and the Palestinian Youth Movement alerted authorities in Brussels of a shipment travelling from Britain to Israel through #Liege airport.

The consignments left Britain on 23 March and were seized at Liege airport in Belgium on 24 March.

In a prayer delivered by US Defense Secretary Hegseth during a Pentagon worship service yesterday, he read the fake Ezekiel 25:17 verse from “Pulp Fiction" that Samuel L. Jackson’s character recited just before he shoots a man to death. https://variety.com/2026/film/news/pete-hegseth-pulp-fiction-fake-bible-verse-prayer-service-1236723446/
Pete Hegseth Quotes 'Pulp Fiction' Fake Bible Verse at Pentagon Prayer Service

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth meant to invoke holy scripture in discussing the rescue mission of an American fighter pilot stranded in Iran -- but he actually quoted Quentin Tarantino.

Trump says he's willing to 'risk' your rights for his surveillance powers

> As he was running for another term in the White House in 2024, President Donald Trump made it clear that he was not a fan of the government's electronic spying powers contained within the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA).
>
> "KILL FISA," he wrote in an all-caps message on Truth Social. "IT WAS ILLEGALLY USED AGAINST ME, AND MANY OTHERS."
>
> It's been two years and five days since Trump wrote that, but it might as well have been another lifetime. On Wednesday, Trump again took to Truth Social as Congress was debating a possible extension to Section 702 of FISA, which allows intelligence services to scoop up electronic communications between Americans and individuals overseas.
>
> **Now, Trump says he's willing to "risk" the rights of Americans in order to keep those spying powers intact.**
>
> **"I am willing to risk the giving up of my Rights and Privileges as a Citizen for our Great Military and Country!"** he wrote. "We need to stick together when this Bill comes before the House Rules Committee today to keep it CLEAN!"
>
> The context here is the April 20 deadline for reauthorizing Section 702. As Reason's Joe Lancaster detailed a few weeks ago, that deadline provides opportunities for members of Congress to demand changes to how FISA works.
