The reason this is so weird is, ok this is Mastodon we're all nerds here:

Wishlists at launch are a sum of all moment to moment wishlisting behavior over a LONG period. An integral basically. So the number you see after 24 hours looks tiny no matter what, but you can't help but stare at it anyways cus in principle it's correlated to what will be your overall rate of gain which in turn tells you launch behavior etc.

Basically I'm pondering the circle that will gradually rotate into my orb.

Hang in there. I'm sure you're doing fine, and as the article said, it's not the end of the world if your initial wishlists are low.

@portaloffreedom huh, yeah that shouldn't be the case. The min-spec for SteamOS should be "well, what's the SteamDeck got" heh

EDIT: OH, the data was the same as PC (aka SteamDeck Specs), but there's dropdowns to swab the MBs to GBs that weren't set, lol, thanks!

@glassbottommeg I’ve wishlisted :) One note - do you have any control over the minimum requirements text? “RX 460” doesn’t help me as a graphics requirement, maybe some kind of benchmark figure would be better? 🙂

@arafel benchmark figures don't make sense to um, most people. Generally the idea is to put a card there and leave people to search up whether theirs performs similarly.

@ramsey @ello honestly I wish Valve could just, Proton up Mac support somehow, since yeah that's kinda what it'd take to make supporting it reasonable again.

But probably not going to happen because it doesn't even make sense for Valve themselves, due to how small that market is, etc etc.

(So yes, Linux on Mac is sorta your next best bet)

@glassbottommeg @ello I thought Wine wouldn’t work on macOS (for some reason), but I just checked it out, and it claims to work on macOS and BSD systems, so I have no idea why Valve can’t make Proton work there. 🤷‍♂️
