NEWS: Trump extends China tariff deadline for another 90 days

A pancreatic cancer vaccine is showing promise in early trials, NBC News reports. Currently, the five-year survival rate in the disease is about 13%, and about 80% of cancers may come back. This vaccine targets one of the most common genetic drivers of cancer, KRAS gene mutations, and is designed to teach immune cells to recognize and attack cells with those mutations. The trial included 20 people with pancreatic cancer and five with colorectal cancer (KRAS mutations are also a common driver of those) who had already been treated with surgery and chemotherapy, but still had cancer cells. About 85% of the participants mounted an immune response to the KRAS mutations, and about two-thirds of those had an immune response that appears to be robust enough to tackle lingering cancer cells.

Yesterday Denmark lost one of our greatest.

Psychiatrist Peter Lund Madsen died only 65 years old.

Being an excellent communicator, Peter made science exciting for the Danes in numerous tv and radio shows and through his many books.

I will indeed miss this gentleman and his wonderful sense of humor and his formidable way of captivating an audience.

Pete Buttigieg is always spot on about these things.
