High res version proof of my cat being 100% busted

Not sure how to reboot him

I think my cat is broken

i need a sicko

i'm holding out for a sicko till the end of the night

and he's gotta haha
he's gotta say yes
at the window with look of delight

Keep a box of good chocolates in your desk at work and give them out to your colleagues at intervals unrelated to productivity, just because it's nice to have a chocolate sometimes
I'm so freaking happy with how the FX look en masse now. I need to layer more on top, a few rainbow sparkles or something for a pop of color, probably tune the dust a bit, but overall aaahhhh yessss. 🐭⚔️

Also someone pointed out that the Grunts in Halo do almost exactly the same thing, and that's another Let's Make Murder Feel Goofy game, so

again, yeah, it just works better when I lean into this, and a lot of other really good games have come this way before, so the signposts point to great things

Tho playing Like A Dragon while I work on these is noooot helping

Or is helping?

Let's go with Is Helping, because honestly I could do much worse than accidentally lifting Like A Dragon vibes, LAD is just peak making-surprisingly-brutal-murder-fun-and-goofy-just-don't-think-about-it-ok vibes

When you play 🐭⚔️ and the vibe is "wow these little guys are REALLY excited to be murdered" (this is a WATCH OUT I AM ABOUT TO ATTACK anim designed to be visible in a crowd)

uh

Yeah sorry the game just works better the more i lean into Birthday Boy At Magic Show Excited To Get Sawed In Half energy

It's one of the most Ultima 7-coded indies I've ever played, if that means anything to anyone, and it has a control scheme that's frustrating to do via gamepad because this was just waaay before the assumption of gamepad was a thing, and it's flawed but

gods it had such BIG ambition, huge world etc

A game I think a disproportionate amount about is

The Real Texas: https://store.steampowered.com/app/261900/The_Real_Texas/

@PsySal was one of the earlier indies (it released way before the Steam date and came to Steam much later), and is part of why I went indie, but they never hit big fame. Which sucks! It's great!
