These gorgeous inks were in my stocking this morning, and I had to play. I also used one of the new inks on watercolor paper.
Today, I'm experimenting with the other two new inks that were in my stocking. The blue one plays nicely. The green, while lovely, doesn't play as much on this paper.
For today's #inkyDays drawing I'm going with a chemistry diagram inspired pattern.
Had a blood draw early today, for one of my regular Oncology tests, and didn't get to my studio-office until afterwards.
Then I felt like drawing some happy little mushrooms, so I did.

In solidarity with Minnesota, I'm experimenting with the Minnesota flag as a motif in today's #inkyDays drawing.
I'm also working on a better representation of the flag. Maybe to make stickers to give away? It's a little challenging and freehand isn't working for me. Once I figured out the star, it got easier. Tested a bunch of different inks, and I think I have a good combination now.
I'll post more when I make more progress.

I've also made progress on drawing a Minnesota flag with my inks. It's much more precise than my usual approach to drawing my hand, but it's getting close...at least for now. Each component is cut out, another difference from my usual drawings.

Yeah, I've been drawing comforting floral patterns a LOT, lately. These are stressful times, and I'm just happy to be able to keep making art every day. So what if I'm a bit repetitive. I'm actually making art. And that's a win.
Exploring a little more with an idea I started yesterday, for today's #inkyDays drawing.
And starting another piece on watercolor paper, with this same idea. This shape needs precision, at least for the foundation, so I'm using pencil to start with ...something I almost never do.
