People aren’t flying to US.
Keep up the good work people. You may not see the results published and they may say it doesn’t work, but it clearly does.
#resist #resistance #boycott
@JoBlakely They claim boycotts don't work but they forget all the industries "killed by millennials" who just couldn't afford to support or didn't want to purchase from those businesses.
Boycotts are just way more directed.
And, they cut employees when businesses do well so there's no reason to get overly concerned about the job loss aspect as these companies have never minded cutting workers' healthcare or hours just to pocket the savings.
Yes, economic corporate boycotts are impactful. Encourage all your friends and family to participate, as best possible. Collective actions get corporations attention.
Deny them your purchases and money, deny them source of their power and influence
@Lazarou @JoBlakely At my crappy remote job taking donations for PBS I talk to Canadians every day. When I take their credit card the recording stops so I can speak freely. I never miss the opportunity to apologize, express my embarrassment, and tell them a joke.
What borders on stupidity? Mexico and Canada
They always laugh and then apologize for laughing. Great folks those Canadians.
I have been taking these calls for years. Recently they have taken on a whole new flavor.
I've also seen the phrase "Go fash, lose cash."
@BruceMirken @JoBlakely are you in a blue area or a red one? (Or very purple?)
I suspect Walmart being empty is hyperbole, but maybe it is in some places?
Tesla.
Especially eff Tesla.
Musk is an insult to spirit of the man whose name he’s appropriated into fascist service.
The cars I understand; they pre-dated this extremist episode.
If you bought that idiotic 3-ton wedge of energy wasting metal:
FUCK YOU
you deserve what you get

I've been tracking the #broligarchs and #mairikkkan markets over just the last 16 days in this thread:

Holy fuck is #capitalism gutting itself.
Which, as historians know, is filled with potential for fascists.
The #CEO are terrified of the people.
We are a force of nature.
That is why they wedge and segment us.
When we are at each other's throats, fighting over crumbs from their tables, they rejoice.
first quarter closes in a few days and the numbers will come out in a few weeks.
the rich people feelings graph ain't gonna like 'em.

@JoBlakely we need to remember that no matter how the political winds blow, we have to keep this pressure on. A few years from now, hopefully when things are better, we cant forget the economic power we have and cant just lapse back into old habits. Our spending habits helped make this shitty world and we need to learn from that.
Im not saying this to be contrary or 'that person'. This is a moment of empowerment and agency that we cannot forget about. Lets celebrate this and keep it up!
Thank your for sharing this positive message 💚🌿
I want to compliment the https://www.targetfast.org/ organizers. They made a manageable but still significant boycott request, and also put together a specific list of demands and plans to negotiate with the company.
I thought it well organized.
@JoBlakely @cyberlyra boycotts work, but it’s just rare for a decent amount of people to actually boycott something in this age. After all, too many people often choose convenience over morals, see the amount of queers that still patronise that chicken place.
Glad this time a decent amount of people actually do it!
WE, will not miss them!
