What's the best thing you've read today? Mine's this, from Marisa Kabas on bsky:

"This morning at Dept of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) HQ in DC as mandatory return to office began, this video played on loop for ~5 mins on screens throughout the building, per agency source."

"Building staff couldn’t figure out how to turn it off so sent people to every floor to unplug TVs."

Spoiler: It's a video of Trump sucking on Elon's toes, with text over top that says: "Long live the real king."

Bluesky Social
Imagine if employees at every federal agency did these pranks with the same theme (but different video) all the time? It wouldn't take long for Trump to get mad and take Elmo down a peg a two.
@briankrebs pretty sure Trump is just letting Elmo dig his own grave in the court of public opinion. Let the guy run roughshod over the government getting what Trump wants out of it. When the outrage is too much, throw Elmo under the bus. When the MAGA base is screaming about their canceled SS and VA benefits, Trump can swoop in and play saviour, blame the filthy immigrant billionaire. It's so clumsy and obvious, right outta trumps playbook.

@briankrebs I think you’re absolutely right.

After that (or rather simultaneously): Trump being played like a cheap fiddle by Putin. Trump the puppet, Putin the puppeteer. Putin the strategist and Trump the fool.

You can’t shame the shameless, but you can always count on the narcissist being narcissistic.

@briankrebs Pictures of Trump as a dog being lead on a leash by Musk might get under his skin; he is incredibly dismissive of dogs.
@briankrebs remind him that Elon's a technical sooooper genius, so any technical foulups like this are by Elon's direct approval.
@briankrebs this was very satisfying to come across this morning :D
@briankrebs I’m cackling jfc lmao

@briankrebs

This is some V for Vendetta shit. I love it.

@briankrebs

Deded me 💀💀💀💀
Absolutely epic, epic trolling.

I normally don't boost anything from blue sky, but I will make an exception this morning.

@briankrebs Remember😆 I copy & posted the video📺 to you from X before & everyone on #mastodon Replies   That 2 left feet,👣 try again🤷🏼 I didn't make it.  https://infosec.exchange/@TycoonTom/114022860776928332

@briankrebs This is a perfect example of why sometimes it's worth it to click "Show anyway" on filtered posts
@briankrebs I think Dazzle and Penguin succinctly sum my feelings after clicking that link.
@briankrebs
The best thing is WaPo describing it as "possibly" AI-generated, like maybe they actually filmed that for some reason!

@spacehobo @briankrebs I suppose it's possible that it's real, as long as it's possible that Elon also has two left feet.
Of course I'm no forensic video expert, so that's just an opinion, not proof.

But for once it's nice to see their waffle-words used for good instead of masking evil, like they usually do.

@briankrebs The opposite of finger licking good is toe sucking evil.
@briankrebs too bad Elon seems to have two left feet.
@karelbrits @briankrebs I never suspected him of being able to dance.
@karelbrits @briankrebs that’s perfect! They also took a swing at AI. 😂
@briankrebs omg Krebs this is amazing more of this please

@briankrebs Because Mastodon posts tend to be ephemeral and because I no longer trust corporate social media AT ALL for any kind of longer-term curation of politically-sensitive material of cultural importance, I have captured Marisa's video and Bluesky post on Erosblog:

https://www.erosblog.com/2025/02/24/sucking-the-kings-toes/

#ToeSucking #Trump #Musk #King #RealKing #DonaldTrump #ElonMusk #FootFetish #Toes #Sucking #HUD #RTO #ReturnToOffice #ToeFetish #AI #Fake #Celeb #CelebrityFake

@ErosBlog @briankrebs I feel kind of bad for the person who discovers a new kink this way
@void Absolutely! And yet everybody with a closet full of kinks has at least one that they got in a fucked-up way. If people are introspective and honest with themselves they can often unpack, repack, and enjoy kinks like that eventually, separate from the early weird baggage.
@ErosBlog @briankrebs I look forward to Trump not being able to visit any Government building without something like that happening whilst he’s there. “I now declare this building op…”, as the giant video wall behind him cuts to something graphic… bonus points if mainstream media can’t use the footage because it’s not permissible for broadcasts. Starve him of publicity.

@briankrebs It looks like my impulse to memorialize this on ErosBlog was a sound one; Marisa's post on BlueSky has already been deleted.

https://www.404media.co/bluesky-deletes-ai-protest-video-of-trump-sucking-musks-toes-calls-it-non-consensual-explicit-material/

Bluesky Deletes AI Protest Video of Trump Sucking Musk's Toes, Calls It 'Non-Consensual Explicit Material'

Bluesky has deleted the most viral post reporting on an internal government protest agains the President of the United States and the world's richest man.

404 Media

@ErosBlog @briankrebs

Bluesky showing its real colors when it comes to freedom of expression.

Bluesky management: ahhh ....we protected our status with the current regime. Appeasement is so easy......

@briankrebs @ErosBlog the post seems to be restored
@rrgeorge @briankrebs Robert, the 404 Media article did say that the takedown had been appealed.
@ErosBlog @rrgeorge i couldn't read it. did it say appealed or reversed?
@briankrebs @rrgeorge The 404 article says "Kabas is challenging the deletion."
@ErosBlog yeah, it says that it’s being challenged, not that it was successful. But it appears that it was, since I can see the link @briankrebs originally posted. (I don’t have a bsky account, so I don’t know if it’s different for folks that are logged in)
@rrgeorge @briankrebs Robert, reporting on these stories is like shooting at a constantly moving target. Yesterday, Marisa's post at BlueSky was up. Then BlueSky took it down. Then she appealed. Then 404 reported, and asked BlueSky for comment. Then I posted. Then the link came back up. We may or may not see further comment from Marisa, or BlueSky, or an update from 404. These stories evolve in real time. That's why real journalists (which I am not) earn real salaries covering them well.
@ErosBlog @briankrebs 100% agree.
I was just adding commentary that it appears the challenge was successful (at least, currently)
I also appreciate the foresight to memorialize the original post as you did, because you never know with these things, these days.
@ErosBlog @briankrebs You mean this video? 😮

@stux @ErosBlog @briankrebs

I didn't notice it before, but they got the feet wrong on purpose to let you know it was AI.

@trabex Winter, I'm careful not to infer motives on too little evidence. We don't know that the wrong feet were deliberate; bad feet are a common AI screwup and they may have merely accepted it because it's funny, say. But sure, the bad feet are at least evidence that nobody was trying to make the video persuasive or deceptive. In this sense AI video is the new caricature. It's an artform, not a representational medium.
@ErosBlog @briankrebs We all should just repost it over and over again making it impossible to take down.

@T2R @briankrebs TR2, one of the things I don't understand very well about Mastodon (which may only have to do with my instance) is that posts seem to be very ephemeral. A few months later, media in particular is likely not to load even if the post is still there.

So, while I have big love for the censorship resistance that the fediverse provides, I still believe there's a role for independent websites like mine where stuff that gets posted can be expected to persist for 5, 10, or 20 years.

@ErosBlog @briankrebs Eros I agree and I prefer non-corporate controlled sites for persistence. But it's a double edged sword in terms of site security, maintenance, and someone footing that bill for 20yrs. Personally I hate social media. I'm just here to bitch and moan, stir the pot, and look for open source intelligence for infosec stuff here.
@ErosBlog @briankrebs Not surprised: stripped of its context, it looks like foot-fetish porn. What do you think the odds are of an underpaid moderator in a third-world country being aware of the nuances of American politics?
@briankrebs Now I see that 404 Media has updated their story: "Update: After this article was published, Bluesky restored Kabas' post and told 404 Media the following: "This was a case of our moderators applying the policy for non-consensual AI content strictly. After re-evaluating the newsworthy context, the moderation team is reinstating those posts.""
@ErosBlog @briankrebs
Bluesky is a shity place honestly, when i start using it, I was marked as spammer XD
@ErosBlog @briankrebs It is consensual, all right…
@briankrebs This is a great trolling vector, since so many federally-managed buildings have screens installed in common areas. Back when I was subjected to them, they were always playing Fox News, but the Anonymous screenjack channel is much better aligned with my views.
@briankrebs Amazing. Absolutely beautiful.

@briankrebs

Best thing I've read about the worst video I've seen . . .

@briankrebs why has Elon two left feet?!?
