I absolutely HATE tech news these days.

Most sites/blogs seem to be little more than wretched little shills for the tech giants. The breathless LLM coverage and barely critical product reviews and constant spinning of anti-consumer/developer bullshit like they're blessings.

Vector graphic animation software Glaxnimate 0.6.0 is now fully integrated into KDE's ecosystem.

Glaxnimate 0.6.0 is out and can now be deployed for Linux, the MS Store and macOS thanks to being fully integrated into KDE's build system.

It has been translated to 28 languages, boasts a smoother animation workflow, and comes with better support for importing and exporting to SVG, among many more marvelous things.

I'm so tired. People, I am not interested in reading *blogs* generated with claude, gemini or chatgpt. No, not even ones proofread by AI. Do it yourself. I do not wish to even accidentally click on "one-shotted" dummy projects. Don't show me your AI-generated analysis of anything. Above all, I do not wish to see images/artwork someone prompt created.

I value real content, with all its good and bad quirks, from actual human beings.

Somebody please normalize auto-tagging of AI generated content across all formats - text, images and code so I can blanket ban them from my personal computer.

This is a plead for help I never thought I'll have to make.

@tailscale I have a friend that would love tailscale, but he doesn't want to use a big tech identity provider, including github. He's had negative experiences with several of these large companies where they've locked him out of his own accounts during hijack attempts.

Why couldn't you let new accounts sign up and just enroll their physical security keys at the same time? I'm honestly baffled by the omission of this as an option.

Imagine sharing a link to your fediverse account to someone not on the fediverse, hoping they follow you.

Now imagine instead that the link you share takes them to a beautiful yet simple landing page that carefully guides them to the ideal platform, geographically closest, and helps them through the onboarding process, recommends the best desktop/mobile client and then follows you from their new account.

Stop dreaming. I'm building this. Wanna help?

WebIntents - Universal Follow Button for the Fediverse

Simple, beautiful follow buttons for ActivityPub. Works with Mastodon, Pixelfed, Loops, and all fediverse platforms. Less than 10KB, zero dependencies.

@jomada Some weird little artifacts on the rounded corners of the Nothing global theme.

Recently did an interview on behalf of @GrapheneOS with David Bombal which can be found below.

I'd like to say a huge thankyou to David for his kindness, patience & consideration, his team are also a huge credit to him too. All round great experience.
