There are sufficient options, ranging from good wallets like #FeatherWallet and #Monerujo to using @torproject for those (#Feather has #Tor built-in!) and existing lists of public nodes...
- OFC running one's own node is the theoretically best option - espechally over Tor, but it's not a hard requirement...
Either way, #Monero is by far the "least worst" aka. "best currently existing option" on the market...

Monero Has Received Some Upgrades
@kkarhan that's wrong because it's not fud and i actually understand the cryptography it uses and the scaling bottlenecks that every blockchain has to face, do you?
increasing the ring size just pushes the problem back a bit while increasing the bandwidth requirements of running a full node, they can't do that indefinitely
@kkarhan not enough people use it for the weakness to be directly exploitable today and it's still fairly possible to run a full node enabling wallets to use it in a more safe configuration, but that's why i said its success will cause its failure since that changes if more people actually use it

We've seen "transaction stuffing attacks" trying to flood the
#Monero #blockchain with a shitload of transactions not that long ago...
- It didn't result in #transaction fees skyrocketing like it did with #Bitcoin or #Ethereum but instead only those looking into the #BlockchainExplorer and those #mining found it odd that every block hat double if not triple digit transactions in them...
Transactions were still as fast as usual and still as cheap as they've been before and afterwards, so yeah, unless you have a PoC / Exploit / Whitepaper ready to point out specific weaknesses like the long ago fixed tx_extra field I'd say this is more alarmist than reasonable.
- I myself am not affected: I neither own nor trade #Monero but with literally billions of darknet and black market transactions in it, you'd shure as hell make a fortune selling your latest PoC to both sides multiple times over... ^
Alas that's why you waste my time instead of mailing Zerodium or other exploit brokers to negotiate your payment for an actual weakness...
