'Palestinian prime minister submits governmentβs resignation, a move that could open door to reforms'
Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Shtayyeh says his government is resigning. Monday's move could pave the way for a shake-up in the Palestinian Authority. The U.S. hopes the authority will eventually take on a role in postwar Gaza. Many obstacles remain to making a revamped Palestinian Authority a reality. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, whose forces were driven from Gaza by Hamas in 2007, has made clear that he would like the PA to govern the enclave after the war. But it is deeply unpopular among Palestinians, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has roundly rejected the idea of putting the authority in charge of the territory. Abbas must still decide whether he accepts the resignations of Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyehβs government.

#Gaza doctor says gunfire accounted for 80% of the wounds at his hospital from aid convoy bloodshed

The head of a Gaza hospital where some of the wounded from bloodshed surrounding an aid convoy were taken says more than 80% had been struck by gunfire. That suggests heavy shooting by Israeli troops. At least 115 Palestinians were killed and more than 750 others were injured Thursday when witnesses said troops opened fire as crowds raced to pull goods off an aid convoy. Israel said many of the dead were trampled in a crowd surge surrounding the convoy. It said its troops fired at some in the crowd who they believed threatened them. Dr. Mohammed Salha of Al-Awda Hospital said the vast majority of the 176 wounded brought there had been shot.

Words matter: It's a Israel-Hamas war, fought in GAZA, not a Israel-Gaza war.
Hamas initiated the war from Gaza using the people of Gaza as shields.
There are devils on both sides of this war - but none more evil in its tactics than #Hamas.

"Israeli vehicles had started firing at people when the aid arrived.
"Israelis purposefully fired at the men... they were trying to get near the trucks that had the flour," he said. "They were fired at directly & prevented people to come near those killed."...
"Al-Awda hospital received around 176 injured people...142 of these cases are bullet injuries and the rest are from the stampede and broken limbs in the upper and lower body parts."
