It's going to be a perfect night for a fire in the wood. But if i do that I'll pay for it all week. Decisions, decisions.

#Cocktail - Tuxedo Rose:

60ml Gin, 22ml Cocchi Rosa, 7.5ml Maraschino, Orange Bitters, dash Absinthe, Lemon twist, Cherry

There are lots of Tuxedos. Most with some sherry, Fino or Manzanilla. This one would have been Cocchi Americano, but I empinkened it with Rosa. Nice.

> six in 10 people aged 16 to 34 identify with no religion. Furthermore, this is not a โ€œphaseโ€ of youthful rebellion; 94% of those raised without religion remain non-religious as adults.

> Church of Englandโ€™s identity falls to just one in 10 of the general population

> We must stop treating the non-religious as a demographic absence and recognise them as a community with a positive, ethical worldview

The Guardian view on Britainโ€™s religious right: using and abusing faith in the pursuit of power

Editorial: A professed desire to protect the countryโ€™s Christian identity is cover for a divisive politics which ignores the central message of the gospels

The Guardian

An old Buddhist story.

Six monks were talking

The first said "The flag moves"
The second, "It's the wind that moves"
The third, "It's the mind that moves"
The fourth, "What flag?"
The fifth, "What wind?"
The sixth, "What mind?"

The UK Right-Wing parties are going hard today on how the UK is a Christian country. The thing is we're actually an A-Religious country. 30% say they have no religion when asked. 30% were brought up in a faith but haven't though about it since they were 10. 20% know what to do in a place of worship, but only ever go for weddings and funerals. Which leaves 10% who are just getting old.

It's not that we're Atheist. We're A-Religious. We're simply not interested and don't care.

And then they came for the Marmalade. But I did nothing because we make our own.

#Cocktail - Queen's Park Swizzle #2

60ml Light rum, 20ml Lime, 10ml Dbl syrup, handful mint, 2 dash Angostura, 2 dash Peychauds, muddle or sort shake, Frozen Collins, Crushed ice, Straw.

If it doesn't come from the House of Orange in the Netherlands, it's not Marmalade. It's just sparkling Citrus Jam.

I have to say, I didn't know they grew oranges in Dundee.

I did try Onion Marmalade on my Hot Cross Bun but I did not like it.

re: Some righty eejit claiming "#EU regulations which say only the Portuguese can use the word โ€œMarmaladeโ€ alone.".

First they came for the Generals and I didn't speak up because I was not in the military.
