Highways and Byways of the Glenkens

The Glenkens is the wide valley of the Ken river and Loch on the eastern end of Galloway. flanked by the Rhins of Kells on the west, with the Southern Upland Way going through it Travelling from north to south, we will take you on three walks that give both a flavour of the beautiful landscape of the glen, but also a flavour of the history and folklore of this corner of Scotland .

Recently myself and Andy Kaye gave a joint talk where we presented these three walks to an audience at the CatStrand, New Galloway. This is a recording of the talk, with some tweaks because of technical issues we experienced on the night, and a surprising new addition that was not included in the walk.
