@HoldenRichards It makes the damage we are doing to the planet even harder to bear when you see it like that…and what price will the moon and eventually Mars pay when we eventually get there. I cannot feel optimistic looking at this picture…
@HoldenRichards Always humbling to be reminded we're on a little blue ball, for an average of 70 years, in the darkness and vastness of space and time.
@HoldenRichards So beautiful and yet in the 50yrs since we last took this pic we haven’t looked after it. Or, to be more accurate, we haven’t looked after our place in it. Earth herself will get along just fine. Possibly without us. She’s done it before.
@jayeyecue money, and congress. Apollo was so expensive and when it ended NASA did smaller less expensive trips in the shuttle while furthering space tech. As we see shuttle engines be reused on #Artemis
@HoldenRichards not kidding a bug landed on my phone screen at the same time as I looked at this picture and I had a millisecond "WTF is that?!" moment
@HoldenRichards I think we did get one recently from the Israeli moon mission. There was also something from India? I don't think China ever released anything from theirs.
Really super good to see NASA back in the game tho, they were very missed.
@Polychrome@HoldenRichards I don't think Beresheet sent any earth imagery back before it crashed, as for china, we're lucky to know it even landed. lol
