Charlotte airport workers strike over wages ahead of Thanksgiving

American Airlines says it doesn’t expect significant disruptions to flights this week as a result of a labor strike at its hub in Charlotte, North Carolina. Service workers there walked out Monday during a busy week of Thanksgiving travel to protest what they say are unlivable wages. Employees of ABM and Prospect Airport Services authorized the work stoppage. Union spokesperson Sean Keady says the strike is expected to last 24 hours. The companies contract with American Airlines to provide services such as cleaning airplane interiors, removing trash and escorting passengers in wheelchairs. The companies have acknowledged the seriousness of a strike during the holiday travel season.

Anyone for a #workerStrike?

So #Israel and #Budapest are now #JulianAssanging, just like #theWest?

By that we mean abusing and persecuting #journalists.

Awful.

Partake in the 3-day #workerStrike for #solidarity with these peoples. By calling in sick sometime between 21-24 June. Together we might cause the #economy to shutdown, sending a clear message to those in power.
