I haven't used this Apexel macro lens in a while. Getting proper focus is tricky. The depth of field is too shallow for use with medium to large insects. Now I remember why I rarely use it.

No usaba esta lente macro Apexel desde hace tiempo. Conseguir un enfoque adecuado es complicado. La profundidad de campo es demasiado escasa para usarla con insectos de tamaño medio o grandes. Ahora recuerdo porqué la uso poco.

Ich habe dieses Apexel-Makroobjektiv schon lange nicht mehr benutzt. Es ist schwierig, den Fokus richtig zu setzen. Die Schärfentiefe ist zu gering für die Verwendung bei mittleren bis großen Insekten. Jetzt weiß ich wieder, warum ich es selten benutze.

Las abejas durmiendo me inspiran cierta ternura y por la forma que pliegan alas, patas y antenas me parecen animales de peluche. Estas abejas de carda (Anthidium manicatum) de Valencia se van a dormir muy pronto (19.30h) y cuando todavía hay bastante luz.

Schlafende Bienen erwecken in mir eine gewisse Zärtlichkeit, und die Art und Weise, wie sie ihre Flügel, Beine und Fühler zusammenlegen, lässt sie wie Kuscheltiere aussehen. Diese Wollbienen (Anthidium manicatum) aus Valencia gehen sehr früh schlafen (19.30 Uhr) und wenn es noch hell genug ist.

Hace un año no sabía que las abejas dormían y que algunas especies lo hacen en solitario, y ahora ya sé a qué hora y dónde puedo fotografiar una abeja de carda (Anthidium manicatum) preparándose para dormir agarrada a una flor de duranta al ponerse el sol.

Vor einem Jahr wusste ich noch nicht, dass Bienen schlafen und dass einige Arten dies allein tun, und jetzt weiß ich, wann und wo ich eine Wollbiene (Anthidium manicatum) fotografieren kann, die sich bei Sonnenuntergang an einer Duranta-Blüte zum Schlafen niederlässt.

Es de las pocas veces que consigo fotografiar lo que estaba buscando: una abeja de carda (Anthidium manicatum) agarrádase a una hoja (creo que de duranta erecta) para dormir al anochecer.

Dies ist eines der wenigen Male, in denen es mir gelingt, das zu fotografieren, wonach ich gesucht habe: eine Wolllbiene (Anthidium manicatum), die sich in der Dämmerung zum Schlafen an ein Blatt klammert (Duranta erecta, glaube ich).

I am not an entomologist and I was surprised to see how the male Anthidium manicatum bee (european wool carder bee) flutters around stalking the smaller females. When he sees one perching on a flower, he quickly flies towards her and after a brief "fight" they adopt this posture to mate. This may be repeated every few minutes with different females.

No soy entomólogo y me ha sorprendido ver como el macho de la abeja Anthidium manicatum (abeja cardadora) revolotea acechando a las hembras, más pequeñas. Cuando ve que una se posa en una flor, vuela rápidamente hacia Ella y tras una breve "pelea" adoptan esta postura para aparearse. Puede repetir esto cada pocos minutos con diferentes hembras.

Ich bin kein Entomologe und war überrascht zu sehen, wie die männliche Anthidium manicatum-Biene (Wollbiene) herumflattert und sich an die kleineren Weibchen heranpirscht. Wenn es eines auf einer Blüte sitzen sieht, fliegt es schnell zu ihr hin und nach einem kurzen "Kampf" nehmen sie diese Haltung ein, um sich zu paaren. Dies kann sich alle paar Minuten mit verschiedenen Weibchen wiederholen.

The male Anthidium florentinum is slightly more than twice the size of the female and very territorial.
They are solitary bees. To sleep they cling with their mandibles to the end of stems and leaves.

El macho de Anthidium florentinum es algo más del doble que la hembra y muy territorial.
Son abejas solitarias y duermen en el extremo de tallos y hojas, sujetándose con las mandíbulas.

Das Männchen von Anthidium florentinum ist etwas mehr als doppelt so groß wie das Weibchen und sehr territorial.
Es handelt sich um Solitärbienen. Zum Schlafen klammern sie sich mit ihren Mandibeln an die Enden von Stängeln und Blättern.
