I follow a lot of nature photographers on different platforms. At times, seeing all the wonderful photos of crazy bright and colourful species of insects, spiders, and birds from all across the globe makes the fauna in central Europe appear a bit lame. But then I grab my own camera, go out, and notice pretty quickly that that's far from the truth. The photos here just show a few of the spiders I come across without even leaving my garden. There might not be quite as much colour around, but there are tons of fascinating, beautiful, and diverse species all around!

Spring is here!

And while I'm working and fighting off the annyoing remnants of a cold, the garden is getting busy. The tiniest creatures whom we share our garden with are waking up and getting active.

The paper wasps are back as well! I love these peaceful, elegant little creatures.
