Dear developers:
Stop with the 🤬 "magic link" sent to my email to login. PLEASE.
This is not only SLOW AF. It's terrible security. It means that anyone who takes over my email account gets access to EVERY service that uses this.
STOP.
FYI: the retries built into the email spec are measured IN DAYS. It is NOT a real-time communication mechanism and should NOT be treated as such.
Arrrrgh!
Just shipped two apps built from personal need:
📊 Momentum – Track habits, set goals, stay accountable. No gamification fluff.
💊 PillPal – Never miss a medication again. Smart reminders + refill tracking.
Both free. Both open to feedback.
I built 6 AI-powered web apps while working full-time and writing 15 books.
Here's the lineup:
- ContentForge: Repurpose text into platform-native posts
- Palette Pro: AI color palette generator
- Momentum: Daily habit tracking
- PawFormance: Pet health tracker
- PillPal: Medication reminders
- HomeGrown: Garden planning assistant
All free to start. Built with Claude AI + Replit.

🚲️ Ready for a ride? Take a long tour with Mark Russinovich around Azure reliability, resiliency, and recoverability and how to use those buzzwords to actially build a reliable web app.
☢️ The story starts here: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/azure-reliability-resiliency-and-recoverability-build-continuity-by-design/
⚠️ Be warned The story has a a dozen and more links to tell the whole story.
❗️ I attached you a spoiler. So if you care about reliable web apps and their design, read the full story today.
I made a third-party iOS store with AltStore Sources support, tons of features, and a native UI that looks great on any device. What do you think? You can build your own third party store or application too using my template from Gumroad.

So I am trying to put together a secure VPS operations server that handles Email and Nextcloud, maybe Matrix Chat later.
Now, I could do this using Docker, which would make a lot of this easier to migrate later if needed... maybe.
I am basically transferring from a Mail-in-a-Box build to this.
Thing is that I want to get the basics done and maybe get something easily administrated. And I haven't touched Docker before.
Though I should try. It be worth while I think.
Signal Protocol for a P2P Webapp
TL;DR: I have open-sourced a #Rust implementation of the #SignalProtocol that compiles to #WASM for #Browser-based #P2P messaging, overcoming the #NodeJS limitations of the official library.
I am sharing my implementation of the Signal Protocol designed specifically for the #Frontend. While the official libsignal is the gold standard, its #JavaScript targets are often optimized for Node.js, which creates integration challenges for client-side web applications.
My version is built in #RustLang and compiles to #WebAssembly, utilizing #ModuleFederation to provide robust #Encryption for decentralized environments. It currently powers the end-to-end security for my #P2P messaging project.

I am looking for feedback from the #Dev and #Infosec community. If you have experience with #Cryptography audits or formal-proof verification, I would appreciate your eyes on the codebase as I work toward a more finished state.

Pocket Casts desktop/browser app sucks. The app on the iPhone and Android phones are great and have tons of feature, the web/browser app is majorly lacking feature parity.
It sucks because sometimes I prefer listen on the computer vs. the phone.
I really like where @[email protected] is going with their app/web experience. The feature parity is there.
I do find myself trying different podcasts apps all the time.
My go-to apps are TrueFans.fm and Pocket Casts.
